Due Date...

So as of tomorrow we have officially reached Tucker's due date. Back in January when we found out that we were expecting, I never felt like this day would ever be here. Now that it is here I wonder where on earth the time went! Nine months is clearly not enough time to prepare because I feel like I still need more time to adjust to the fact that sometime, whether tonight or sometime in the next week, I'm going to be someone's mommy! Every hour that goes by is another hour closer to meeting my son but time is going by so slowly that it is driving me crazy! Our situation is also a little different because with Nate not being here, there is an added stress that I will most likely be going through this experience without him by my side. Our plan is that once labor has officially begun and we go to the hospital, my mom is supposed to call Nate and send a red cross message to the Naval Base in order to get him on his official paternity leave. Then we cross our fingers that he will be able to get a flight home as soon as possible and hopefully get here for the big bang! Luckily I have my mom and sisters to hopefully get me through this experience as best as I can. I've taken all the childbirth prep classes and have been reading lots of books and baby magazines but I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing! But like I said, thank goodness that I have my posse of females to help me out! Well, I have another appointment with the doctor tomorrow and hopefully there is some good news that things are actually progressing but we will see! Still crossing fingers, toes, and anything else capable of crossing that labor will begin soon and we will be announcing the arrival of our little one as soon as possible!

September 2010:' Still Awaiting Tucker's Arrival

Well the magical month of September is here and still no baby boy! My first post and I have no news to report on because my little boy is being shy and stubborn and refusing to make his entrance. Hopefully soon! He is due on Thursday so hopefully there will be a much happier post in the coming week with some exciting news that he is finally here! Nine months is far to long to wait for our little one but what's a few more days, right? I've been feeling irregular contractions for days now but nothing to make me think twice. Nate and I grow more and more anxious every day to meet our little one and see the little bud that has been kicking and punching me for months now! Can't wait to get him here and introduce him to the world!
